Many flagships have been released by mobile brands, the oneplus 5T pulled a stellar profile among them. This phone is undoubtedly a great device courtesy of the bezel and improvement in secondary camera performance. It comes with a competitive price giving other smartphone brands a run for their money. A techie will have the craziest of his expectations met in the oneplus 5T.


Oneplus 5T has a sleek figure; it rocks a big and vibrant display with a slimmer bezel above and below the screen. This makes an 80.5 percent screen to body ratio. Consequently, the fingerprint scanner and the physical navigation key are located at the back of the phone. Oneplus 5T features an aluminum unibody design and available exclusively in midnight black color. With its curved edges, the dimension of 156.1 by 75 by 7.3mm, and weight (162g); the device can be described as premium. Is n’t it?


The device packs an impressive 16MP front camera and 20MP rear cameras which produces superb, crystal-clear pictures and videos. On the thorough test, one would discover that the ambient light has a profound effect on the quality of the images captured. Interestingly, the camera is Sony sensors with enhanced aperture f/1.7 to produce good pictures even in low-light ambiance. The camera uses the novel  Intelligent Pixel Technology which engages four pixels to work as one.

Speed, Software, and Memory

The new Oneplus 5T launches with Android 7.11 Nougat, however, it will receive Android 8.0 Oreo update. Notably, a face unlock is Ipone X’s Face ID of some sort. It provides additional security to your phone and ensures your privacy is not intruded. However, it can be fooled easily. A long and tricky password would definitely save the day! Also noteworthy is the parallel apps feature. This facilitates the making of secondary apps of social media such Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram.

Oneplus 5T comes with 6/8 gig RAM powered by Snapdragon 835 hence the non-lagging experience. One would enjoy the heaviest of android games and high speed on this device; thanks to the great RAM. The permanent memory is 124/64gig depending on the variant purchased. This memory size will conveniently handle your HD files. Now, the Oneplus 5T does not have external memory card slot. This a striking flaw one wouldn’t want to be  repeated in subsequent smartphones.

Battery Life

The non-removeable LiPo 3300mAH battery rocks! On comparison with other smartphones, the Oneplus 5T battery pulled up an impressive performance. Surprisingly, the battery juice increase by 60 percent within 30 minutes of charging. This is enabled by the excellent USB-C port. To be factual, a ninety minute HD video with backlight increased to the maximum and wifi on trigger only 12 percent reduction in battery juice.
