At Chicago press events , Motorola announced the next version of Moto X and Moto G handsets . The previous version of Moto G has received so much compliments from the public due it low price . The company told the new 2014 models have slightly improved. The phone will also receive the Android L In the US the Moto G will starting from $179.99 . The phone had announced in 2014 September.


The 2014 version of Moto G is slightly bigger than the old version of Moto G . The Dimensions is about 141.5 x 70.7 x 11 mm (5.57 x 2.78 x 0.43 in). The device has sleek back cover. On the right hand side there are volume up and down buttons and a power button. The total weight of a device is about 149 g . The device has different attractive colors back covers like white , blue , green and pink


The new Moto G has 5.0 inches of touchscreen with the pixels of 720 x 1280 at 294 Pixels Per Inches density. The screen is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 . In addition the device has water repellent coating which protect the device from casual scratches.

Speed and Storage

The second generation Moto G has a quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 CPU and Qualcomm MSM8226 Snapdragon 400 chipset is used with a 450MHz Adreno 205 GPU . The device has 1GB of RAM with two internal storage version of 8 GB and 16 GB. You can also extend the storage with SD Card.


The device has 8MP of camera with pixels of 3264 x 2448 with single LED flash, still there is no optical image stabilization but you can captured your photo in rich HDR mode . The device records a video of 720p@30fps n the device has 2MP secondary camera for selfie.

The device is running Android OS 4.4.4 KitKat and surely be upgradable to Android L. In Moto G the layout is so close to android pure stock version . Other than that you can enjoy the some stock Motorola application like Motorola assist etc .


The device has Non-removable Li-lon 2070 mAh battery with a huge battery time , surely you can enjoy the huge call time from your phone . The device is not released officially so it is difficult to predict the exact battery performance .

If compared to the previous version of Moto G the , now you can extend your memory with SD card. The camera is improved up to 8MP
