The Google Pixel 2 XL comes from the house of the Internet giant, who is still in its nascent stage when it comes to mobile industry. The company is working hard on its software and hardware efforts and this is reflected in their products. The Pixel 2 XL was launched in November last year and since its release, the product has been surrounded by a lot of controversies.

This Android phone however wins our hearts for pushing out numerous patches to fix the various concerns. The LG OLED screen for example came under scrutiny for not being too good. There’s a new color mode released to address this issue.

We were please to see that the smartphone does not attract any fingerprints on the surface and offers a really good grip on the hands.

Camera

Both front and rear cameras are really good and they can capture some really brilliant pictures in different conditions. The video quality is also decent, at least at par with what you expect from a company like Google.

Software

The handset is capable of handling the most recent and advanced software by Google. It is one of the few mobile phones that support Android’s Oreo. So, you can expect to see only useful features, no devious icons or useless skins.

Battery life

The mobile phone is powered by a 3520 mAh battery and a fully charged battery can last for about a day and half. However, the lack of wireless charging comes across as a huge disappointment for the users. The saving grace is that Google offers a fast charger in the package and this really does a good job at juicing up the phone really fast.

Overall, we feel the Google Pixel 2 XL is a really good smartphone powered by one of the best versions of Android and it feels really good to hold. It comes with minimum bezel and a stunning camera to wow the users. We only wish the screen was a bit livelier to make it score high in terms of competition.
