Many things come to mind when you are trying to think of the perfect thing to do with your significant other on Valentine’s Day. The gift of chocolate or flowers is one of the first thing that a man thinks to give his special lady, while dinner and a movie are certainly not out of the question.
When you live a techie lifestyle, there are also a lot of commonplace things that can come to mind while planning a Valentine’s night, some of which can actually even save you money in the long run.
For dinner and a movie, for instance, you can simply plan to watch something on Netflix, a streaming service that nearly everyone accesses these days, and make a nice, quiet dinner for two right from the privacy of your own home. What’s better still is that you do not have to worry about getting our of a crowded parking lot and making the drive home. You’re already there!
Some ideas for great movies to watch on Valentine’s Day include:

Roman Holiday is a 1953 classic that stars Audrey Hepburn, who won an oscar for her performance in this movie, and Gregory Peck. Set in the city of Rome, it is a sort of Princess-type story with a fish-out-of-water undertone that it sure to please.
Silver Linings Playbook stars two of Hollywood’s biggest names, Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper. Their characters meet and fall in love during a bout of ballroom dancing, and while they aren’t very good at the dancing, they seem to fall in love quite well.
Let The Right One In might not seem like a typical Valentine’s Day movie, as it is primarily a horror movie. However love is a major theme in this movie, as are the things that the young and old alike seem to do for it.
Meet the Patels is a documentary that tells the story of an Indian man who is in search of the love of his life and still, at the same time, resisting the culture of tradition including prearranged marriages.
Shakespeare In Love is a love tale with British overtones, gorgeous costumes as well as seven Academy Awards, including one for Best Picture. Gwyneth Paltrow is the star of this show and deserves a spot in a Valentine’s Day lineup.
